全套教材共12册，每年使用两册，六年可学习完毕，学会将近1,100个字汇及上千句实用的生活用语。

Hello, Huayu! is a set of Chinese textbooks for K-6 Chinese beginners. It uses picture style to show real-life situations and attract children’s attention. Combined with the practical conversation in Chinese that can be practiced right after each lesson, students no longer feel drawn back from learning a new language. Hello, Huayu! is a full set of 12 textbooks designed to be taught 2 volumes per year and can be completed in 6 years. Students will acquire nearly 1,100 new vocabularies and over 1000 sentences that can be applied in daily conversations.

这套针对第二语言学习者所设计的华语教材，参考了美国外语教学五大目标（Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, Communities, 5C）及欧洲语言共同架构（Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR），并融入IB课程对小学中文学习的要求。本教材以沟通式教学法编辑，设计生活沟通情境，培养学生基本的听、说、读、写能力。

This textbook is designed for learning Chinese as a second language. It follows the US National Standards for Foreign Language Learning, also known as the 5Cs—Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities. It also follows the European languages common framework (Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR), and integrates IB curriculum requirements for primary school Chinese learning. Hello, Huayu! makes use of the Communication Teaching Method, with curriculums based on real-life conversations and situations to teach basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

The series have six levels. Each level contains a textbook, a workbook and a teacher’s book. The IGCSE subject categories provide the main framework for each unit’s main scheme or each lesson’s learning objectives. The IB teaching philosophy is adopted when writing the contents, and some of the AP teaching criteria are considered to keep in line with the teaching styles of different language cultures. The vocabulary and sentences or sentence patterns are arranged and compiled based on the HSK levels, with some references from the TOCFL.

The “Amazing Chinese” series is a set of teaching materials specifically designed for a Chinese language course within international schools. The teaching materials aim to support and establish the learning foundations of secondary school students who are non-native Chinese speakers.

The teaching materials primarily merge the Chinese and Western language communicative patterns in the lesson text and learning activities. In the culture and social contact, traditional and modern behaviours and habits permeate through. The whole objective is to evoke international students’ interest, love and effective mastering of the Chinese language.
