✨ Purpose of the Competition
- Enhance interest in Chinese character writing
- Cultivate artistic and neat writing styles
🧒 Competition Categories:
- Primary School:
- Kindy Group, Year 1-2, Year 3-4, Year 5-6
- Secondary to Adult :
- Year 7-9, Year 10 and above
🖊️ Writing Tools
- Pencils or ballpoint pens (blue or black)
- Brushes, fountain pens, highlighters, or coloured pens are not accepted
📄 Writing Guidelines
- No need to add a title or author, vertical writing from right to left is allowed
- No punctuation marks, no arbitrary addition or deletion of characters
- Use standard script only, no cursive or sloppy writing
- Characters should be neat, aesthetically pleasing, well-proportioned, and appropriately sized
- No slanting or crowding outside the grid, use each grid reasonably
- No blank grids, all grids must be filled with characters
- Errors, corrections, or embellishments will affect the score
- Keep the paper clean, avoid stains or creases
📚 Competition Content
- Copy the designated text for your grade level
- Do not choose your own topic or change the content
- Longer texts do not need to be copied in full, but all grids on the competition paper must be filled
🕒 Competition Time
- Start time: April 7, 2025 (Monday)
- Deadline: May 10, 2025 (Saturday)
📬 Submission Methods
- Physical Classes: Submit the competition paper or email it to the class teacher
- Online Classes: Scan or take a clear photo and email it to the class teacher
- External Participants: Email to: teacher.snwcs@gmail.com
📌 Other Regulations
- Each participant is limited to one submission; duplicate submissions will not be scored
- Please fill in the student’s name, grade, and contact information for scoring and archiving
- All works may be used by the Northwest Education Centre for marketing and display purposes without compensation
- The final interpretation right of this competition belongs to the Sydney Northwest Education Center
📣 Announcement of Results and Awards:
The competition results will be announced on June 2. The list of winners will be available on the Sydney Northwest Education Centre’s official website.
The following awards will be selected based on the scores of the works in each group:
- First Prize: Sydney Northwest Education Centre voucher $100
- Second Prize: Sydney Northwest Education Centre voucher $50
- Third Prize: Sydney Northwest Education Centre voucher $30
- Merit Award: Sydney Northwest Education Centre voucher $10
🎓 Vouchers can be used to offset the fees of Chinese, Math, English writing, and Creative Workshop at the Sydney Northwest Education Centre, or to purchase Chinese and English books. The voucher is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
